Wild Skies - Concept Art for Virtual Reality
My Final Year Project at Staffordshire University explored fantasy art and visual storytelling through the creation of concept art for a game development pipeline, by working with Project Holodeck director Nathan Burba on his Wild Skies game brief. I was tasked to create 6 highly detailed digital paintings, showing the atmosphere and narrative of a variety of in-game locations; as well as a range of concept work and orthographic sketches.
The project was featured in Staffordshire University's GradEx 2013 event and shown to industry professionals, winning a prize in the Games Modelling and Animation category.
